REALationship 101 (formerly known as “The Art of Intimacy”)

Sometimes when we touch
The honesty’s too much
And I have to close my eyes and hide

Dan Hill, “Sometimes When We Touch”

Couple talking

How many people do you have in your life that you can talk to — about anything — without scaring or pushing them away? How many relationships have you been in where you could be really honest — about everything — with your partner? For most of us, the answer in both cases is maybe one or two. Yet good relationships are much of what makes life worthwhile. Close relationships, true friendships, and real community are all built on knowing yourself, sharing yourself, and really hearing other people. These are not skills we are born with; we have to learn them.

Join us for an experiential course in conscious connection, drawing from the work of Marshal Rosenberg (Nonviolent Communication), Peter Levine (Somatic Experiencing), Susan Campbell (Getting Real), Brad Blanton (Radical Honesty), Eckhart Tolle (Power of Now), and others. Topics include self-awareness (distinguishing between one’s thoughts and feelings), moving through fear, the power of vulnerability, and heart-centered sexuality (see also “Principles of REALationship“). Participants will have the opportunity to address issues in their own lives with the group’s support.

If you are concerned that you might miss a class or two, each session will be recorded.

This course is a prerequisite for REALationship 201.

$175/person or $275 with two one-hour phone coaching sessions.

The nearer you come into relation with a person,
the more necessary do tact and courtesy become.
